And now to wax a bit about New Year's...I have never understood celebrating leaving the old year behind, ushering in the new. It just doesn't seem real enough of a holiday to have the day off.
Oh, don't get me wrong! I enjoyed having a paid holiday when I got them. I just never understood the reasoning for having it off. Obviously, it's nice for recuperating from a hangover. But it would make as much sense to me if we had Arbor Day off...
Which makes wonder...would Arbor Day be a champagne kind of holiday?
Oh who cares? I must check the bank account now & see if there's some champagne funds available. I do loves me some bubbles. (Of course!)
